The US carried out a strike in Somalia that killed roughly 30 al-Shabaab fighters, US Africa Command stated in a press release Saturday.
US forces on Friday “carried out a collective self-defense strike” in assist of Somalia Nationwide Military forces who had been “engaged in heavy preventing following a fancy, prolonged, intense assault by greater than 100 al-Shabaab fighters,” the assertion stated, referring to the phobia group linked to al Qaeda.
There have been no US navy current on the bottom when the airstrike occurred, a US protection official stated.
