A Merrillville man faces fees after taking pictures a bystander above his proper knee at a crowded “automotive present” by the seaside in East Chicago.
Trey “Swervo” Kelly, 30, was charged Thursday with aggravated battery, a Degree 3 felony; battery via a lethal weapon, a Degree 5 felony; battery leading to severe bodily damage, a Degree 5 felony; and legal recklessness, a Degree 5 felony.
He has not been apprehended and is ordered held on a $40,000, or $4,000 money surety bond.
Police responded within the afternoon on Oct. 1 to the 3300 block of Aldis Avenue for a reported taking pictures.
